Aviation leader Sunae Park tapped to run industry-leading airline services provider
SEATTLE – McGee Air Services Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alaska Airlines, today announced that Sunae Park will join the company as president on April 17. A seasoned aviation veteran, Park brings nearly 30 years of diverse business and leadership experience in finance, accounting, operations, project management and training.
“Sunae brings a tremendous amount of expertise to McGee after working seven years in airport operations training and support leadership at Alaska Airlines,” said McGee board chair and Alaska Airlines’ Chief Operating Officer Constance von Muehlen. “Known for her problem-solving moxie, laser focus on safety, and talent for building high-performing teams, Sunae is very well suited to lead McGee.”
Park comes to McGee from Alaska Airlines, where she most recently served as managing director of inflight strategy and support. An 18-year employee of the airline, Park has held several other key management positions, including managing director of airport services, director of inflight resource management and director of accounting operations. Following the acquisition of Virgin America by Alaska’s parent company, Sunae led the successful integration of the two airlines’ airport operations. She also has helped guide enterprise-wide diversity and inclusion initiatives, chairing its Inclusion Advisory Council and co-founding Alaska Airlines’ Women’s Interactive Networking Group.
Prior to joining Alaska Airlines, Park served as manager of assurance and business advisory services at PricewaterhouseCoopers and worked in-house as a controller for two West Coast technology start-up companies.
Park holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and psychology from the University of Oregon.
