Ben Reed assumes role of Managing Director of Safety & Compliance

McGee is reinstating the position and tapping Ben Reed to return to the role he held when he joined McGee in 2016. Since July 2017, Ben has overseen McGee’s service at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, helping establish McGee’s foothold in a busy and complex operation. He also has managed the company’s Paine Field (Everett, WA) operation, since service launched there in March 2019. Ben has been responsible for over 900 team members who provide ground handling and other services on more than 200 flights every day.

Michael Francis promoted to Managing Director of Station Operations, for all cities outside Seattle

Mike brings considerable operational and leadership experience, having worked for more than 15 years in commercial and private aviation. Most recently, he directed operations for McGee in San Francisco, and prior to that, was the station manager in San Jose. Mike began his career in Portland, Oregon with Evergreen Aviation, where he was an Operations Manager. While at Atlantic Aviation for nine years, he directed all aspects of corporate and privately owned aircraft handling as the Line Service Manager in Stockton, California. Mike acquired his bachelor’s degree in business management and his MBA from Grand Canyon University.

Managing Director, Operations – Seattle

Rachel Steitz has been named Managing Director, Station Operations – Seattle

Rachel started with Northwest Airlines and worked in ramp operations for nine years before taking on various leadership positions within the cargo division. She joined Delta Airlines during the merger with Northwest Airlines in 2009 as manager of cargo safety. She moved to Alaska Airlines in 2011 as the manager of safety risk management (SMS) before being promoted to director of airport operations safety, where she was responsible for safety operations and continuous improvement for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air airport and cargo locations.

Rachel is a committed and highly effective leader who always puts safety first and genuinely values the people with whom she works.
